A BLS healthcare provider is a CPR class designed specifically for
people who are working in the medical field but not exclusively so. This
type of training will touch the areas of advanced CPR on adults,
children, and infants with the use of AED (automated external
defibrillator).
This type of training gets a certification accredited by the American
Hearts Association. Although it is a special class, signing up for one
is not at all difficult. In fact, you can sign up online. You can choose
to take the class online or in a classroom setting.
If you’re working in the medical field, you may need to refresh your
BLS training and get re-certified right away. That’s because more and
more hospitals require their medical employees to have BLS certification
every two years with refreshment trainings after every six months. If
you know your certification is about to expire, you may need to sign up
for a healthcare provider CPR class right away. OR, if you still don’t
have the BLS certification, sign up for the nearest and accredited
healthcare provider CPR classes.
