CPR/AED certifications

As an individual, receiving CPR Certification training is a rewarding experience in itself. It gives you the constant opportunity to help someone in need, be it a loved one or a stranger. Statistics say that giving CPR to someone in need will double their chances of living. Everyone should be able to give CPR and know basic First Aid even if their career or personal life does not put them directly into situations where this type of training may be necessary. Having the ability to teach others this type of life saving training, therefore, should be an honor.

There are many ways to get involved and share your knowledge once you have been CPR trained and passed the written exam to receive a certificate. The American Heart Association and the American Red Cross provide opportunities to become a CPR and First Aid instructor. Both organizations differ in their instructor training techniques as they do in their specific CPR training courses. As mentioned previously, the American Red Cross certifications focus on the reasoning a specific person is receiving their CPR training.
